6th Grade Basketball Game

by MacKenzie Metivier

The 6th graders had a basketball game on November 16th at 4:30 and here is how it went, the girls did great! The game was fantastic, they worked very hard. They had two teams, the red and black team, the winning team for the game was black with a winning score of 30-12. The coaches are doing a fantastic job at teaching these girls how to play basketball well, and the girls are doing a great job at playing the game well. When I attended this game I took some pictures to give some people more of a visual of being at the basketball game for people who couldn’t attend the basketball game.

YMS Drama Class

by Summer Olson

This month, our drama class will be working on a play! The play is a parody of the famed play, 12 Angry Men, however it is combined with classic fairy tales to make it into the 12 Angry Pigs. Students can be one of three narrators (called Bear-ators in the story), one of the 19 characters in the play (some may play more than one), one of two student directors, stage crew, or a stand-in. Students will work on handling props and setup, memorizing lines and actions, trying to capture the mood and tone of their character, projection and articulation, and making good eye- contact with the audience for narrators. We will be performing the play the 18th-21st of December. Each student will get three tickets to give to people, this gives them access to watch the play, people can only come by these invites.

We are all very excited for our performance!
